Today I am thankful that, in general, my children enjoy each other! Here my 9 year old son is reading to his 2 year old sister and 1 year old brother.

I am so thankful that we can all be home together as a family. The kids get a chance to really develop close relationships with each other.

Lord, help me to not take for granted the opportunities You are giving me at home with my kids. Help us to all grow in relationship with You and each other!

His Promises

A couple nights ago my daughter caught this beautiful rainbow gracing the sky (as seen from our front porch). I am reminded of God’s promises. His promises never fail. When the world around us seems to be spinning out of control, I am ever so thankful that GOD IS IN CONTROL and WE CAN LEAN ON HIS PROMISES!

Father God, Help me to never forget your promises. You are trustworthy and will keep every one.

His Provisions

My husband works in the construction business…concrete construction. It has been a true blessing, bringing in a nice income which allows me to stay home. Well…recently it seems he has had to work a lot of Saturdays. In fact this afternoon he called to inform me that he had to work late tonight AND has to work tomorrow!

I am so tempted to whine and complain and wish my husband home…having had a long week with sick kids (for the past couple weeks actually), but then the Lord reminds me to “give thanks” in ALL things. So…I am choosing to be thankful.

I am thankful that my husband has a good job. I am thankful that my husband is healthy and is able to work so hard to care for our family.

Help me Lord, to choose gratitude even when things don’t go my way. Your way is best…

His Wonders

My daughter caught this picture of the moon a couple weeks ago. Isn’t it beautiful….

His wonders are fascinating to behold. I don’t know how people can see His creation around them and not gasp in the awesomeness of His power and glory! Today I am thankful for His creation…the moon that lights the darkness of night.

Jesus…come and light my darkness. Expose me with Your light!
